(WHITTIER, CA) September 30, 2025 - Wellnest celebrated an inspiring day of golf, community, and philanthropy at its 5th Swing for a Cause Golf Tournament on Monday, September 29, at the beautiful Friendly Hills Country Club. The event brought together supporters, community leaders, business partners, and friends of Wellnest for a fun day supporting children, their families and transitional-age youth, through emotional health and wellness programs.
Players enjoyed a full day on the course with 18 holes of golf and exciting contests including Putt to Win, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin, along with signature cocktails served from mobile bars, a lively silent auction, a cigar station, and an awards dinner to conclude the day.
Celebrity golfer and X Games host Selema Masekela joined the festivities, adding to the excitement on the green. Guests also heard a moving story of impact from Wellnest client Darlene, a participant in the Early Intervention & Day Treatment Intensive Program, who shared with the audience,
“Thank you, Wellnest. Thank you for everything you do not just for Jacob, but for me, and for so many other families like ours. Thank you for giving me a broader perspective on the kind of life I can build, for showing me how to process things that felt impossible, and for teaching me that it’s okay to ask for help when I simply don’t know how to move forward.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit Wellnest’s latest project, the Community Wellnest Center, providing critical behavioral health support, wellness services, and community-integrated programs for children, transitional-age youth, and families.
Wellnest Vice President of Philanthropy, Angele Price expressed her gratitude and excitement about the day, “Our Swing for a Cause Golf Tournament is more than a day on the green, it’s an opportunity to come together as a community to support the programs that empower children, families and young adults. We are incredibly thankful to our players, event sponsors, and volunteers for making this day possible and for helping us build brighter futures for those we serve.”
Wellnest extends heartfelt thanks to the generous sponsors who made the day possible, including Title Sponsor Bridge Builders Foundation, Hole-in-One Sponsors David and Susan Hirsch, Banc of California, and East West Bank, and all Grand Slam, Champion, Eagle, In-Kind, and Underwriter sponsors.
