Message from the President & CEO
November 7, 2025
Dear Wellnest Community,
I want to begin by expressing my deep gratitude for the strength, care, and compassion that define our community, especially in times of crisis and uncertainty. Together, we have faced challenges that test our resilience, and time and again, we have shown what it means to show up for one another.
Today, we face another difficult moment. The recent federal freeze on SNAP benefits is creating uncertainty and hardship for many families who rely on these resources to meet their most basic needs. At Wellnest, we see the impact this is having on the children, youth, and families we serve, and we know that many in our broader community are feeling this deeply, too.
We want you to know that Wellnest is actively working with our partners to determine the most effective and sustainable ways to respond. Our goal is to ensure that any support we offer is coordinated, safe, and aligned with our mission of providing mental health and housing services that strengthen families and promote well-being.
In the meantime, we are sharing a list of local food resources including food banks, meal programs, and emergency food distribution sites, that can offer immediate assistance to those affected by this change. We encourage you to share these resources widely with anyone in need.
We will continue to stay in close communication with our community partners to identify additional opportunities for direct support and collaboration. As new resources become available, we will keep you informed.
Thank you for standing with us and for your continued compassion and care for one another. As we approach the holiday season, your kindness and solidarity remind us that together, we can help families find hope and stability in even the most uncertain times.
